Nice to have you here! I'm Sabine Gauch and for me, art has meant pure joie de vivre since my youth. After training in the hotel industry and a few years of professional travel, I found my way into the world of events and marketing, where I can apply my creative spark to many projects. My own art fell short.
In the 2020 corona lockdown, I found my way back to art. I immersed myself in the world of acrylic painting, collage and mixed media art, took online courses and our home became a colorful studio.
In 2022 I had my first solo exhibition in Gerlingen near Stuttgart and in 2023 I was part of the group exhibition "Fragmente" in the moated castle Holzgerlingen. The positive reactions showed me that I was on the right track. It's just a great feeling when people are touched and inspired by my work. My work is inspired by travel, flowers and small everyday moments. I love to play with colors and textures to create artwork that touches the eye and soul.

Artist Statement
"My art is an expression of pure joie de vivre. I love to experiment with colors and materials, combining collage with acrylic painting, charcoal, pencil, pastels, markers and textured pastes. By layering many painting and collage techniques, I create a fascinating depth in my paintings that puts them in a very special perspective. This creates unexpected insights and exciting compositions that make my works unique. I intuitively use collage snippets and colors, mix new hues and let myself be surprised when something completely new emerges from my ideas and impulses.
I draw my inspiration from my travels, the colorful power of flowers and the little things of everyday life - from patterns and fonts to advertising and scents. Flea markets are real treasure troves for me, where I rummage for old magazines, letters and comics. My paintings are little journeys of discovery that convey a zest for life to the viewer and always reveal something new on closer inspection. It fills me with happiness when my art appeals to others and takes them on their own journey."
